Overview:

We are looking for a hands-on, product-first Head of Engineering to lead Pyvot’s technology vision and execution as we build a category-defining SaaS platform at the intersection of fintech, data intelligence, and food-tech.

This role is ideal for a senior engineer who enjoys building from scratch, scaling systems thoughtfully, and leading teams through ambiguity. You will work closely with the founders to take our platform from 0→1, architect robust systems, and build a high-performing engineering culture.

Responsibilities

• Product & Platform Architecture

  Own the end-to-end architecture of Pyvot’s SaaS platform — backend systems, APIs, databases, and frontend dashboards — ensuring scalability, security, and performance.

• Data & Automation Systems

  Design secure pipelines to fetch, parse, and reconcile payout statements from platforms like Zomato and Swiggy using Gmail/Outlook APIs, transforming raw data into actionable insights.

• AI & Intelligence Layer

  Lead the integration of AI/ML capabilities including anomaly detection, payout discrepancy identification, LLM-based summarisation, and recommendation engines for savings and growth.

• Engineering Leadership

  Hire, mentor, and manage a growing team of engineers and data specialists. Establish agile practices, sprint rituals, and delivery standards aligned with speed and quality.

• Cross-functional Collaboration

  Partner closely with product, business, and design teams to translate real restaurant problems into elegant technical solutions.

• Infrastructure & DevOps

  Oversee cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, monitoring, and scaling strategies from MVP to enterprise-grade reliability.

• Security & Compliance

  Implement best practices for data security, encryption, access control, and compliance with global privacy standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building and scaling SaaS or data intelligence platforms
• Strong full-stack engineering background with architectural ownership
• Hands-on experience with modern backend, frontend, and cloud technologies
• Exposure to fintech, data automation, or email-based parsing systems is a strong plus
• Product-minded leader who balances speed, scalability, and user empathy
• Comfortable operating in fast-paced, 0→1 startup environments
